Nungubane Lodge is located in Welgevonden, one of South Africa’s leading private game reserves, in the heart of the Waterberg mountain range, some three hours north of Johannesburg. Welgevonden is a big five reserve, of some 34 850 hectares, and lies in a non-malarial area. Nungubane offers an intimate and special bush experience, for no more than ten guests. There are five luxurious air conditioned chalets, each with a fine view over the reserve from its own deck. Morning and evening drives to discover Welgevonden’s rich and varied wildlife, accompanied by experienced rangers, a tranquil pool to relax beside during the day, a hide from which guests can watch the animals drinking at the waterhole, dinner in the welcoming main lodge or under the stars around the boma fire – Nungubane is the perfect place to experience the beauty and magic of the African bush.
