Martial Heights is situated in the Northern side of the
pristine wilderness area in the Welgevonden Game Reserve.
Surrounded by the Ancient Waterberg Mountains, abundant
wildlife and unspoiled African bush, our well-trained staff
will ensure your absolute comfort and an experience to treasure
forever. From Johannesburg the lodge is located a comfortable
3 hours drive away. Your unforgettable African experience
is already starting as you arrive at the reserve gate. Transfers
to the lodge are done in our open game-drive vehicles, ensuring
maximum exposure to this remote location.
For exceptional exclusivity we only accommodate a maximum
of 10 guests at a time. We have five luxurious chalets,
surrounded with striking Wild Seringa trees and spectacular
views from the hill-tops. Each chalet has en-suite bathrooms,
an outside shower, complete with a private deck and Jacuzzi.
A close-by waterhole offers excitement throughout the day
where a variety of animals quench their daily thirsts. The
main lodge area provides comfortable shading by a thatched
roof and surrounding trees. Cool down in our swimming pool
on those hot sunny days and enjoy a refreshing drink from
the bar, while relaxing on the main deck or in the lounge.
Two daily Game Drives are conducted by our experienced
nature guide, who has been working in the Welgevonden Game
Reserve for more than six years. With exceptional knowledge
of the animals and the area, Game Drives will certainly
be a highlight!
Gourmet cuisine will complete your experience with meals
being served in different locations every night. From dining
on the main deck alongside the lit waterhole to Boma dinners
under an open African sky. Dinners are also served at the
Bush Boma away from the lodge and, for the more adventurous
at heart, we can arrange to stay over at this location,
on request.
