Motivational Talks with Sibusiso Vilane

Sibusiso Vilane is an exceptional man. His achievements have firmly established him as one of Africa’s leading adventurers and explorers and these are all the more remarkable if one considers his background. From being the first black African to summit Mount Everest (twice), to trekking unaided to the South Pole and to becoming a member of the elite seven-summit club, Sibu truly is testimony to what the human spirit can achieve against considerable odds. He is now a highly accomplished motivational speaker and author with a passion for inspiring children to reach beyond the limitations of their immediate circumstances. His most recent commitment (after summiting Mount Kilimanjaro for the 6th time) was to deliver a talk to the Constitutional Court on Human Rights and the Environment.

In addition to exploring the most inaccessible corners of our planet, Sibu has an abiding passion for the bush and for conservation and he boasts 11 years experience in the ecotourism field. We are extremely proud to have Sibu on the Welgevonden team and he has already contributed enormously to the successful establishment of the WEI volunteer programme and the advancement of the Waterberg Rural EcoWarrior programme.

As a member of the Welgevonden family, Sibu has very kindly agreed to make himself available to the Welgevonden lodges two nights a week (i.e. after hours) to give after-dinner talks on his various adventures and engage with guests in around-the-fire discussions on his exploits. If you would like to book Sibu for such an engagement, please contact the Welgevonden office. Sibu is offering his services exclusively to the Welgevonden lodges at the extremely discounted rate of R2000.00 per evening. To find out more, contact us on: +27 14 755 4392.
